Tardy and Early Release Procedure

TARDY PROCEDURE

Parent notes are never accepted for a student's tardiness. Only doctor/legal excuses submitted at the time the student signs in at school will result in an excued tardy.

 

#1 Verbal Warning

#2 Verbal Warning

#3 Call to Parent

#4 Referral to office with above stes documented. Afterschool detention.

#5 Referral to office with above steps documented. 1 day ISS or 2 days of afterschool detention.

#6 Meeting with parent and administrator. 2 days ISS or 4 days of afterschool detention. 

#7 Referral to office and SAT reulting in administrator filing a Court Petition for Habitual Violation of School Rules/Policies; documented by administrator--- Level 1 Violation. 

 

EARLY RELEASE PROCEDURE

Parent notes are never accepted for a student's early release. Only doctor/legal excuses submitted when the student returns to school will result in an excused early release. It is considered an early release if a student is picked up during the 12:48pm-2:00pm time period. Being picked up before 12;48pm, consititues a half or full day absence (depending on the time of pick up). According to our established policy, no one is excused after 2:00pm unless there is an extreme emergency. 

 

#1 Verbal Warning

#2 Accumulates to a half day unexcused absence.

Every 2nd early release thereafter will be counted as a half day unexcused absence.
